- Solution for question/test creation/editing using various Hangul functions
- Equation using the manual editing of Hangul/Hangul file (*.hwp) saving/Printing of document as is
on the screen or paper
- The spell checker module of Hangul is separated to enable its use by other application programs.
- It identifies misspelled words and suggests the correct word to enable the user to revise the misspelled
words quickly.
- Data can be added in specific areas for improved reliability of the checker result.
- The Public Document Main Text Conversion Filter is a conversion filter that supports
the main text (content element or lower section of sub-pubdoc of sub-body) of the public document
definition (public document DTD) in the "Electronic Document Distribution Standard between
Administrative Agencies" as announced by the Ministry of Government Administration and Home Affairs
in October 2002. It converts the documents created by Hangul 2002~2007 into XML document
that conforms to the public document main text.
- It allows groupware using Hangul 2002~2007 to import/export public document-formatted XML
documents easily and stably using API without directly converting Hangul documents into XML format.
The public document filter does not support all public document-formatted files; rather, it only reads
and writes the main text below the content element in XML to prevent the duplicated processing
of settlement, file transfer, and agency data handled by the groupware and eliminate the complexity
of the general-purpose XML converter for enhanced efficiency and stability by providing only a simple
and light module.

In general, ActiveX can be regarded as a set of technologies for data communication between
the component objects to enable the use of the application components
(set of objects with specific functions) by other applications in the local or network environment.
Hangul control is in the form of ActiveX control, which is the advanced form of OLE control.
It is structured to have the role of a wrapper that exports the interface to enable a third party program
to use the internal function of Hangul through communication with COM as the basis for OLE and ActiveX
technologies.

Therefore, Hangul functions can be included (e.g., plug-in) and controlled by other applications.
Furthermore, for controlling Hangul 2005 or higher, the "Hwp Automation" function, the ActiveX automation
technology, is also provided to allow linking and communication of an application to another independently
run application. This enables the use of frame and overall functions of Hangul as well as control by the
client and manual control of Hangul at the same time. Since the frame is supported, the menu, toolbar,
window, and document tabs can be controlled; manual operation events can also be detected and
controlled by the client.

By using "HWP ActiveX Control," users can install only the selected functions or insert a differently
formatted file in a document. Since only the required components are selectively installed and used,
the functions of Hangul can be customized to fit the user's intended application
(Personalized and Customized Hangul).
